The
drawings consist of physical & mental images
of the nude male figure to explore life inside
and outside of the queer community. Each series
of drawings were completed simultaneously. Several
images were used for each drawing to create a multilayered
effect and also to transpose the figure into a
new surrounding. After participating in the erotic
gay mens drawing workshop at the Leslie-Lohman
Gay Art Foundation for several years, I found a
great way to use the drawn images of the live model
with the documentary photographs taken from my
travels.
