Simply put, SnarkArt is an artist organization devoted to the practice of making art and education. Benjamin D. Rinehart, the proprietor, is a multi-media artist whose main focus is in drawing, painting, printmaking, and artist's books. Art presents many challenges that keeps the mind sharp and engaged. Ben is a problem solver by nature, and it is his passion to find the best possible solution to any situation. Ben began teaching at the age of nineteen, and now with over fifteen years of teaching experience under his belt, his goal is to support other artists throughout the creative process. With his training in printmaking, drawing, and book arts, he uses this experience to assist others in the learning process, also to foster a sense of community and collaboration.
His motto is, "Whatever I learn, I share with others."

Library Journal Review in the February 15th Issue: "This is a book of basic bookbinding and box-making techniques by academic artist and instructor Rinehart. Step-by-step projects include some of the most popular types of books and boxes made by hobbyists. The detailed instructions include line drawings, and both a brief section on surface decoration and a gallery of works by other artists are included. Although there are other specialized books on this topic with more extensive projects, this is a good basic selection for public libraries." - Candy |
