7 Hopes for Humanity
This series was inspired by my privileged observations during the pandemic along with all of the travesties that transpired since spring of 2020. COVID shined a light on and exasperated the disparities that have existed for a millennia. I aimed to highlight human universal inequities that transcends class, race, personal identity, gender, and ability. Each spread is intentionally crafted to require the viewer to open and interact with the content. The viewer placing a hand on each piece allows them to encounter how they relate to and are impacted by the subject matter.
Food, shelter, and water are basic human necessities. Ending hunger and food scarcity, providing a safe place to dwell to eliminate people experiencing homelessness, and clean water sources are fundamental human rights. Individuals don’t have the power to control all of these aspects. They must rely on government organizations and world leaders to enact positive change. Access to food, shelter, and water is my first hope.
Healthcare is important for our longevity as a species. Relief from pain and disease would allow everyone to experience life more fully. The proverbial medical ivory tower being blown up shines a light on the lack of access to resources like pharmaceuticals, women’s health, public health education, proper nutrition, child health care, immunization, disease control, accessible treatment, and drug and substance provisions. My second hope is for universal healthcare.
We all require care at various times in our lives and everyone deserves kindness and love. Sharing our existence with others also teaches us more about ourselves. If we spend more time focusing on our similarities and seeing unique qualities as an asset, there will be a greater chance for acceptance. Loving ourselves is key in how we navigate the world. My final hope is for love.

Pop-Up's & Movables
These prints have movable components that require viewer interaction/participation. The images have singular narrative, however many of them are a natural segue to my book structures. The images displayed are an example of my efforts after taking an intensive course in pop-ups and movables.
